“Just finished up my reading. WOW – what an exciting thriller. On a par with – if not better than – Robin Cook. I love medical thrillers and thought I had read all the best. Boy, was I wrong. This one is the best I have ever read. One sitting – didn’t even take a break – it was that engrossing. The detail was amazing, even the computer references. As an inventor and computer professional for 35 years, I can appreciate the references. And having gone through a number of medical procedures, including an aortic aneurysm, the veracity of the descriptions is incredibly dead on.” — Gerald

“Another fantastic book by this author. Crazy, wild ride all the way. I could not put it down and finished in one day. With the author’s history of medical experience, he brings to life drama in and out of the operating room. Insanity and jealousy. Secrets and murder. You’ll root for Luke, hate Brandt, want to date Kaycee, have an admire/hate relationship with Salazar and cheer for Colbi and Kim. Spellbinding Thriller

“An amazing techno medical thriller, undoubtedly one of the best I have ever read (including Robin Cook) the characters are so believable also the villain. Luke Dalton is an anaesthetist who is married with a young child. Brandt is a nurse in OR training, but things happen around him with some patients he saved or does he? Dr. Benedict is a very accomplished writer drawing on his own experience. More please.”

An Exceptional Thriller!
“A medical thriller written by Dr who puts you there in the room with them.
Brandt Stevens, RN, is good at his job. His gorgeous girlfriend, Kaycee is also a nurse and knows how to use her looks to get what she wants. Luke Daulton is an anesthesiologist who’s not afraid of speaking up in the OR when the surgeon does something to endanger a patient. Dr Salazar is a gifted surgeon who’s one of the best to operate the Michelangelo robot for technical surgeries but doesn’t like being questioned in the OR. When their lives become entangled sparks fly as a love triangle blossoms with jealousy, sex, revenge and murder.

“I’ve read all of Dr. Benedict’s books and I’m continually impressed. Each book has a similar theme (medical thriller) and even repeat characters (Doug 1&2, Luke 3&4) but the storyline remains fresh. You’ll learn more about each character, to the point you feel like a neighbor or friend and while the action bits are fantastic, they’re never fantastical, it reads like a we’ll documented police report or something!
Bad Robot has less hospital time than previous books but this is where Benedict’s style shines! He’s just as comfortable at matters of the heart as he is assisting with heart surgery. If you enjoyed Dr Benedict’s previous books, this should be next on your list! If this was your first read from Dr Benedict, please go back and read the others!!”

Great read!
I couldn’t put this book down. It’s after 4 am and I’m just finishing it. So far, all 3 of Dr. Benedict’s books that I’ve read the last few nights, have kept me up unable to stop turning the pages. If you’re up for a few sleepless nights enjoying really good reads, just read this author’s books! 🙂
A Must-Read Thriller
“This is a Must-Read thriller and second in the Dr. Luke Daulton series. While you do not absolutely have to read Fatal Complications, Book 1 in the series, I did find that the story flowed well and reading was enhanced by having the complete backgrounds of the main characters. This book is an engrossing, medical thriller, one that kept me attached to my Kindle long into the night. The high-tech robotics was interesting as well. Dr. Benedict uses his lifetime medical expertise to add a lot of depth to this novel. I highly recommend this book and the series, also!” — SharonB

A Fast-Paced Thrill Ride You Won't Want to Miss!
I prefer my medical thrillers medically sound. I’m one of those people who spoils medical dramas for others who watch them with me because I’m constantly critiquing the skills and medical information being presented (can we just all agree that no one gives injections by stabbing needles into people’s necks?). This was a fascinating view through the eyes of an anesthesiologist, and the character of Brandt, the deranged RN, was unfortunately utterly believable. The addition of the robot technology, which has been making waves in recent years for its application in medicine, made for a belivable, terrifying thriller. Heart stopping from beginning to end! “A truly amazing medical thriller. Dr John benedict is An exceptional writer. As an anesthesiologist, he not only knows the subject intimately, but has that very rare talent as a writer to give enough details that non medical people (like me) can fully enjoy the book. This book also shows the real pressure faced by medical staff, possible drug misuse, extra marital romance is tempting, takeovers where some are reluctant to give up their positions. The characters are very believable and you feel very involved in their lives and problems. I would give this more stars if I could.”
